Dear Miss,
I wish you good fortune on this Christmas Eve,
As the light falls faster, and the leaves disappear,
when the snow reaches its peak, you know it is at hand,
for a jolly Christmas has come to the land,
Family and friends recall great times of yesteryear,
for soon, it will be the new year.
